Holcomb R-III Schools will be in session tomorrow, 1/18/18, on a 2-hour delay with classes beginning at 10:00 a.m with buses 8, 9, 10 and 11 on snow routes in the morning.

Spirit Week activities have been moved to next week. Homecoming is still planned for Friday night at this time.

Snow Routes

Bus #8: Tommy Burress
Will drive EE Highway and parents will need to bring children to the end of their county roads connecting to EE. For Bus #8 White Oak Students, bus stop will be at stop sign at corner of 153 at the backside of White Oak (not at the corner of 153 and Hwy. 25).

Bus #9: Harold Dunbar
Bus will drive Highway 25 and pick up at corner of Hwy 25 and County Road 430 (by Tice’s Furniture). Students on County Road 424 meet at McCullough Cemetery. Frisbee students meet at the old Gin office.

Bus #10: Jake Nelson
For Pine City, Bus #10 will drive Stubblefield Road and Ward Street. The remainder of the route will be on B Highway and parents will need to bring children to the end of their county roads connecting to B Highway.

Bus #11: Linda Lesslie
For Pine City, Bus #11 will pick up at the Laundromat and will drive Dustin Lane. County Road 402 students meet at corner of Hwy 153, M, or Hwy 25. Town portion of route remains the same.

ANNOUNCEMENTS – Thursday, January 11, 2018

Mrs. Musgrave’s 3rd, 4th, and 6th hour FACS classes please bring textbooks to class today.

We will have the FCA Banquet as scheduled.  It will be held Saturday night beginning at 6:00 at the Varner River Baptist Church.  If you need directions, please see Mr. Dunbar.

Our Varsity Boy’s Basketball Team will play, here tonight, against North Pemiscot at 6:00.  Due to illness, North Pemiscot has only 8 players so we will not have a JV game.  The following jr. stand workers should be here by 5:30:  Mady Mosby, Carissa Black, and Phillip Sauceda.

Homecoming Spirit Week begins next week.  This year’s theme is “Home Sweet Homecoming”.  Students can pick up a form from the bulletin board that has a list of what to wear each day.  Our Homecoming Dance will be next Saturday, January 20th from 7:00 – 10:00 p.m. in the multi-purpose room.  Deadline to sign up in Tuesday, January 16th.    Picture order forms can also be picked up from the bulletin board.

If we are out due to weather tomorrow, Meetings Day, High School Who’s Who, and Homecoming candidate pictures will be taken on Monday or the first day we come back.  The yearbook staff will be letting the Who’s Who winners know where to meet for their picture.

The following students are scheduled to help with the backpacks tomorrow morning at 7:45 in Mrs. McClendon’s room:  Caroline Dunbar, Hallie Emmons, Heaven Fisher, and Luke Hellebusch.  If school is not in session tomorrow you will need to meet the first day we come back.

Our High School Girl’s Basketball team will play at Campbell today at 6:00.  Bus will leave at 5:10.

Our Homecoming Float skits will be presented next Thursday, January 18th during 7th hour.  Just a reminder, you will need to make sure they are taken

The following seniors need to come by the office after this hour:  Ricky Arjona, Janet Haro, Luke Hellebusch, Jose Marin, Chandler Miller, Ty Neldon, Arnoldo Ortega, Connier Smith, Dylan Wiggins, Keegan Reeves, and Dillion Adier.

Yearbook Staff Members:   There will be a 30-45 minute meeting after school today to go over upcoming events that need to be covered.  If you have pages that can be completed, please have them turned in to me by February 1st.

FCCLA Members:  If we are out tomorrow, you will have your Late Christmas Party the first day we come back.
